EU-SOLARIS ERIC Launches Its Access Pilot Programme for 2026–2027
A new opportunity to access world-class research infrastructures and services
EU-SOLARIS ERIC is pleased to announce the launch of its Access Pilot Programme, a new initiative designed to provide researchers, industry, and other potential users with access to the research infrastructures and services available within the EU-SOLARIS ecosystem.
Through this programme, users will be able to benefit from a wide range of resources, including research facilities, technical services, equipment, data, scientific expertise, and specialised support related to Concentrated Solar Thermal (CST) and Solar Chemistry Technologies (SCT).
Access may involve either physical or remote interaction with the installations and services, depending on the nature of the proposed activity.
Open call with funded access
Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the 2026–2027 period under an open call scheme managed by the EU-SOLARIS ERIC Central Hub.
Selected proposals will benefit from funded access to the requested facilities and services. The programme will cover facility access fees as well as travel and accommodation costs, subject to budget availability and programme rules.

Evaluation and selection process
All proposals will first undergo a technical feasibility assessment carried out by the Access Managers of the requested facilities. Eligible applications will then be evaluated by an independent External User Selection Panel (EUSP) composed of experts in CST and SCT technologies.
Applications are reviewed quarterly and assessed according to criteria such as scientific excellence, innovation potential, technical relevance, and expected impact.
Applicants will be informed of the evaluation outcome within a maximum period of three months after submission.
